William D. Schofield's Obituary
William D. “Bill” Schofield passed away on June 26, 2016 with his family at his side. He was 59. Husband of 32 years to Maureen (nee Sullivan) and loving father of Ann Marie, Will, and Jamie. Brother of Ronald Downs, the late Mary Ann Coyle (Tom), Gail Schofield, John Schofield (Wendy) and Steven Schofield. He also has many nieces, nephews, and friends, who he adored and who will miss him very much.
Bill was born in Camden, NJ and raised in Audubon, NJ. For the past 19 years, Bill and his family made their home in Yardley, PA.
A graduate of Audubon High School and Saint Joseph’s University, he had a successful career in banking. Most recently, he served as the Vice President and Relationship Manager in the Public Finance Sector for PNC Bank, where he worked for 24 years. Before serving on the Foundation Board of Directors for Thomas Edison State University, Bill served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Trenton & Mercer County. His daughter also shares Bill’s strong commitment to the revitalization of Trenton and the surrounding area. Together, they founded a business which is focused on the residential redevelopment of Mercer County. In his spare time, he enjoyed golf, fishing, and summer vacations in Sea Isle City with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family for a viewing on Thursday, June 30th from 7- 9 p.m. at Swartz/Givnish 323 Washington Avenue, Newtown, PA. On Friday, July 1st, there will also be a viewing from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church 752 Big Oak Rd. Morrisville, PA. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
