William Harvey Towne's Obituary
William Harvey Towne passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024 with his family by his side. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Willis H. and Deloris D. Peterson, Bill was 51 years old. He
was a resident of Westville, NJ for 23 years.
Bill was the loving companion of 16 years to Rachel Rickett. A totally Devoted father of Tristan Towne and Dylan Towne. Son of Willis and Deloris Peterson, brother of Dennis Peterson. stepfather to Summer Gittinger and Trinity Gittinger. Bill was employed as a union carpenter and a member of Carpenter's Local Union #158 of Philadelphia.
He enjoyed when his kids were little he would tell their mom they were sick and he would skip work at least once a month. Just to hang out with us I remember the rule was you can skip school but you have to watch a scary movie with me as punishment. He loved riding on motorcycles just like his dad and luckily was able to check going to Sturgis off his bucket list before he died. When my dad and his brother first moved back here they had nothing but their tools and a truck so they decided they would just stick together and they meant it. After his first wife's passing he dated Rachel and helped take care of her two daughters Summer and Trinity Gittinger. in the end William Harvey Peterson Towne was the hardest working, most caring, and toughest person. William finally started to count down to his last years before he could fully retire and take the time to enjoy finer things, we'll see you on the other side dad and we will always love
you and carry on your legacy
