William H. Wagner Jr.'s Obituary
William H. Wagner, Jr. passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2023 at his residence in Cinnaminson surrounded by his family. Born in Riverside, NJ to William and Mary Wagner, Bill was 88 years old. Bill was affectionately known as “Big Bill” or “Wags”.
Bill graduated from Palmyra High School in 1953 where he excelled in football, track, basketball and baseball. He was a coach for Palmyra Youth Baseball for many years. An avid sports fan, he loved the Eagles, Phillies and Sixers.
Bill attended the University of Delaware then went to work for McVaugh Construction.
After serving his Country in the Army National Guard, Bill was employed as a computer programmer with RCA/GE in Cherry Hill for over 35 years.
Following his retirement from RCA, Bill worked as a funeral director assistant for Givnish Funeral Homes for almost 20 years.
Bill was married 65 years to the love of his life, Joan (nee Volker) Wagner. And is the loving father of Tracy Reale and the late William H. Wagner, III (Andrea). Cherished grandfather of Will (Kelsey) Wagner, Steven Wagner, Chris (Sami) Reale and Nick Reale. Great grandfather of Mae, Fiona and Michael. He was loved by a multitude of extended family and lifelong friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, November 8th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North.
His Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
