Zula B. Parker's Obituary
Zula B. Parker (nee Rogers) passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at her residence in Willingboro, NJ. Born in Granville, NC to George and Mamie Rogers, Zula was 93 years old.
She had been a resident of Willingboro for the last 52 years and formerly lived in the Parkside section of Camden. In her early years, Zula was employed as a chef for Northern Metals in Philadelphia, faithfully commuting from both Camden and later Willingboro. She was a former member of First Nazarene Baptist Church in Camden, NJ.
Zula loved entertaining and spending time with her family. She enjoyed shopping for clothes—especially hats—and could often be seen in her and Bobby’s yard gardening and tending to the outdoor work she loved. She was also talented in sewing.
Beloved wife of 40 years to the late Andrew Parker, who passed in 1990. Loving mother of Bobby C. Parker and the late Curvis L. Parker. Cherished mother-in-law of Ramona Hamlin Simmons. Proud grandmother of Karessa Simmons Patel (Raj Patel), Andrew Parker, and Kaleah Parker. Devoted great-grandmother of Kori Patel and Kole Patel. Sister of Ruth Rigsbee, the late Virginia Timberlake and the late Edward Allen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 29th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North. Zula’s Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Jackie Bailey Moore. Following the service, burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. After the committal prayers at Lakeview, everyone is invited to a repast at Merion Caterers to continue the celebration of Mrs. Parker’s life.
