I recently learned about Ava's passing. Heartfelt condolences to all her knew her, especially her family. I was on the HHHS track team with Ava. Outstanding athlete! Met Ava when i started coaching youth football for Interboro Hornets. After a few years coaching i became the Head Coach for the Interboro Hornets Jr JV team. Ava's son Meki was on my team,i needed a team mom and Ava volunteered to take on that responsibility for me and stayed in that role for the next 3 year's. In that time she helped me and the boys Win 4 straight championships,helped me turn countless kids from boys to young Kings on and off the field. She was a great support system, a great friend and in time became Family, a Sister to me. I continued to coach Meki until he went to high-school and through all those years Ava was right by myside,the teams side continuing to have an impact on the boys lives.Thank you for all the love and support you have given me through the years.You will always be loved and truly be missed..
