I have very fond memories of Barrie and the boys from the years she attended St Stephen's Episcopal Church in Beverly and was the school nurse at St Paul's School in Burlington, NJ treating each child with kindness and love. I did not realize that Barrie lived near my Dad in Edgewater Park till 3 years ago when my Mom died and I was over caring for my Dad and I saw her walking her dogs by the house,,my Dad wanted to tell me her name was Barney and I had to keep correcting him,, he will be 91 in August and was very upset when I told him of her death. Stay strong and hold tight to the wonderful memories,,,
Sincerely,
Kathy Morgan, son- Patrick Morgan, and Dad-Arthur H Leary Jr.

Dear Family,
My sincere condolences on this very tragic loss. I met Barrie through our love of biking, but we found we shared other things in common. She was a very special person, kind and good, and I know she will be terribly missed.
Sincerely,
Mona Freedman
Barrie was an angel sent to me during the most difficult time in my life, when my father was ill and nothing more could be done for him. She walked into the house with that beautiful smile on her face and my father's eyes lite up, he would not speak to anyone until "Barrie" would come in. For seven days she was there for me at any time of the day or night and I will always appreciate her for all she gave to me to help ease the pain of the loss of my father. She was compassionate, loving and truly cared for not just the patient but the family also. Her beautiful smile and brilliant personality will be missed.
Thank you Barrie for taking care of my dad Ralph and when you see him in heaven don't let him get to fresh with you,,Thanks and love to your family

This is to Barrie's boys..Your father is my step father(William Smith)'s nephew. I met your Mom at times at my mothers. Oh how they loved both your Mom and Dad. Then further on into my life journey your Mother came to work at Samaritan Hospice where I worked before I retired. It was nice to reconnect. In spite of your Mother's hearing problems she made a terrific nurse. However, her greatest love was that of her boys. Oh how she would light up when she talked about her sons and how proud she was of them. Keep that close to your heart. With deepest sympathy ...Judy Taylor
Barrie was the "first" person I met in Edgewater Park! Being newly married and new to the neighborhood I took a floral class. She was so pleasant and being very pregnant with her first child I was amazed. We chatted and exchanged addresses. Sometimes we would meet up to walk with Stephen in tow. My daughter (Kayla) and Charlie were in the same class. I will miss seeing her walking her dogs and stopping to chat and catch up on our kids.. ! She had an amazing smile.. Wishing you comfort, peace and strength.

Dear Stephen, Charlie and Nicky:
I am truly sorry for the loss of your mother. She was an amazing human being. Throughout the years, as Stephen and Bobby growing up together, mom was such an inspiration every time I would talk with her
Just last week, I did see her, I waved hello as she walked the dog. Your mom was the best of the best.
I am very sad that a wonderful woman like her has gone. Please know that you will be forever in my prayers.. Mrs Williams
Dear Stephen, Charlie, and Nicky,
We are both saddened to hear about your loving Mom's passing. With great sorrow we offer our sympathy to you all.
I had the pleasure of walking with Barrie dozens of times through the years. Our conversations were often about all of you kids, school, work, and our own personal thoughts.
We also spent many hot summer days at Riverdel and Tall Pines swim clubs. Barrie's energy was inspiring to us. Your Mom was a wonderful friend and a very caring person.
All of the McPhillips and Iwanicki family send our love.

Mrs. Young was my school nurse as a child and always managed to keep a smile on my face no matter how terrible I felt. I would frequently say that I felt ill just to go hang out with one of the nicest people at Saint Pauls. She was one of the only people there who made me feel good about myself and is one of the reasons that I grew up with a smile on my face. Rest easy and know that you made a difference in my life.
