My dear friend and colleague, Barry. You were one of the first of the faculty to greet me and became a close friend and neighbor as I was in Point Pleasant while you were in Seaside. We had great times together both in school and out. After retiring we continued our friendship even after the loss of our wives. I only wish we could have had more time together.

Due to my health this year, I was out of touch with Barry for several months. I was sad to read of his passing.
I loved him and Sue the many years I lived in NJ. We had many happy days at flea markets, selling at the next space while talking and laughing the time away. Bob Louer was his friend before I came along, and we had many great times as a foursome.
Bob would join extending his sorrow, but he is not well.

Dear Kotler Family,
Not only was Mr. Kotler responsible for my pursuit of being an Educator, but he later became my colleague at Manville High School. As his student, Mr. Kotler taught me more about U.S. History, but he was also the “first” Jewish person I knew! He lovingly shared his knowledge of not only his religion, but many world religions. I loved his class! I also enjoyed chaperoning the MHS dances with him, when I was a college student! I could go on and on, but I want you to know how much of an influence he was on me!

Alis was my first friend in North Plainfield, NJ, and I do remember as a child pulling fun all nighter sleep overs at the Kotlers, the family room was loaded with political buttons such as who is the man behind the man behind the man with the gun or something like this 😆. Fond memories of going to summer soft ball games with Mr. Kotlers ice cream truck and the Kotlers often took me to the summertime plays in the park, another treasured childhood memory. I did a lot with the Kotlers in my childhood and they treated me like family even inviting me to their temple services while I was raised Catholic. I’m glad to hear that he settled and spent his golden years on the seaside doing what he loved in his retirement. My condolences to the family 💝
