MY MOM by Eric Concannon
Mom is the Fruits of the spirit personified, her caring demeanor with soft brown eyes, an angel we didn't always appreciate, sweet love for her family she'd radiate, above and beyond with wide open arms, the best of intentions and biggest of hearts, her house an extension of heaven above, came from brokenness channeled to the sweetest of loves, super mom number one motherus prime what a Godly example and how brightly she shined, humility faith and a servants heart, always loving and gracious and put others first, humorous beautiful inside and out, wouldn't suffer fools (but usually be too caring to say it aloud), rather she prayed for those who were selfish or proud, a quiet strength resonates dignity loud, what a soul she had Jesus must be proud, a woman more precious than Gold no doubt....
...She'd always make sure us children were taken care of of course, slip you money for clothes and gas from her purse, send us home with a mountain of grocery bags, such caring warmth and sweetness she had, nothing was too much for her sentiment to employ, a walking hug full of gentle generous joy, went out of her way to make us feel special and loved, an angel descended from heaven above, would make birthdays and holidays the most special designs, made sure lists for your gifts were done way ahead of their time, no decorations were spared as holiday seasons went by, cookies she'd bake fruit water and pies, for her us together were like the stars come aligned, her reliable love like a clock keeping time, sometimes at family events you'd simply just find, her blend into the background with a smile that shined, watching us laugh all together quoting movie lines, with a glimmer inside both of her eyes, so brightly so elegant her soul and her mind, Thankyou God for those specal times... Watching tennis movies and TV I rewind, from House 24 Chuck and Cobra Kai, such sweet sentiments couldn't get any better, birds of the flock under angelic feathers, no matter the weather always in it together, she would give and give everyday like the end of december...
...how many diapers she changed, oufits she arranged, how many clothes did she buy and tears did she dry, how many bedtime stories and lullabies, how many hugs did she hug hellos and goodbyes, how many prayers did she say, love in so many ways, how many rides to school given and times watch us play, how many thousands upon thousands of meals did she cook, loads of laundrey she wash, sheets did she tuck, videos and pictures compiled into volumes of books, how many sicknesses nursed like a sweet mother bird, I honor you mom with all of my heart and these words, my mother my encourager my listener my friend, my confidant the deepest of bonds to no end, such an example of a Godly woman again and again...
