I remember the very first time I met Cal. It was also the very first time I attended Shady Rest Bible Church. As I walked in the door to the mansion in February 1999, there was Cal to greet me with a big smile and a welcoming handshake. What better way for the church to give a first impression I thought. Cal always greeted everybody who came through the door with that smile.
Through the years I have never met anybody who lived by the words "God is in control" more than Cal. If something seemed like it wasn't going as planned, Cal would say to me, "Don't worry, God is in control and it's according to His plan".
All I can think now is, God does have a plan. His plan was to let St. Peter retire from his position at The Pearly Gates, because now he has Cal there to take his place. There isn't another person in all of creation who could, except Cal.
