Somehow I got lucky enough to be blessed to be mentored by Chris and later work on his team. I spent hours upon hours sitting in his office and driving through Brooklyn finding new sites for NB+C. During those hours spent with Chris, I learned so much about not only our business, but about life, friendship, marriage, religion, and so much more. Chris was the most energetic and enthusiastic person I’ve ever met. His positivity and love for his work and life was infectious. He was quite literally an inspiration to me in every aspect of life. He was so in love with his beautiful wife, so in love with his career, so in love with being the best father to his kids, and so in love with God. Everything that I want to be. I’ll forever miss talking about hockey with him. I was lucky enough to see where Chris grew up when we were driving around Brooklyn. Hearing the stories of how he became who he was, were moments I will never forget. He was constantly dropping little gems of advice to live by. I don’t think that he ever truly knew how much I looked up to him. When I felt I didn’t have a place at work, he stepped up time and time again to be my advocate and reassure me that he was always in my corner. I would always joke that I could do something as little as mailing out a letter and he would thank me up and down and tell me how much I helped him. I hope to carry his teachings with me through the rest of my life’s endeavors. I know that Chris is up there in the arms of God, driving his BMWs, and smiling with his big “pearly whites.” I’ll see you again Chris, at least you were never “a meatball”🥹
