Edna R. Tomaski's Obituary
Edna R. Tomaski passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022 in Camden, NJ. Born in Fort Lee, NJ to Adam and Regina Tomaski, Edna was 92 years old. She was a resident of the United Methodist Home in Collingswood, NJ and formerly lived in Jersey City, NJ.
Edna had a long and fulfilling career as an executive secretary for Colgate-Palmolive, and later InterRoyal Corporation in NYC.
In 1947 she was the valedictorian for her graduating class, the title of her speech being “Women in Business.” In her younger days she was very athletic, and enjoyed sports such as skiing and tennis. She traveled the world, visiting many continents and countries, and made friends wherever she went. All through her years she loved learning new things. She had a keen mind and a sharp wit. She had a natural gift for making everyone feel welcomed, loved and appreciated. Her generosity and kindness knew no limits. Her faith in God was at the core of who she was, and she prayed faithfully for everyone in her life.
Edna was predeceased by her parents, her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Claire and William Kozak of Cinnaminson, NJ, and her niece, Linda Lyman of Sheffield, VT. She is survived by her brother Joseph Tomaski (Barbara) of Williamsburg, VA, as well as the following nieces and nephews who loved her like a mother: Nancy Hayes (John) of Warren Center, PA, Paul Kozak (Lori) of Palmyra, NJ, Thomas Kozak (Penny) of Audubon, NJ, Marion Martin (Robert) of Gilbertsville, PA, Robert Kozak (Judy) of Washington, PA, Marybeth Cotrell of TN, Charles Tomaski of Williamsburg, VA, and Lauren Tomaski of Belmar, NJ. She also had 12 great nieces and nephews, one great-great niece, and many cousins who all loved her dearly.
Funeral services were held privately and entombment took place at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ.
