We have such wonderful memories of Fitz and are blessed to have known him and met some of his large, loving family. How ironic that he died on his birthday - as though he was waiting for that milestone to arrive. Our visits to LBI will never be the same, and we will miss him.Eileen and Tom Banisch

Not MY Pop Pop, My ADOPTED Pop Pop - another member of America's Greatest Generation has gone home. I will sorely miss his corny jokes and his wonderful histories of his past. I so enjoyed my most recent visit to his shore home watching the Phillies with him; but, as he told me "105 years is enough" and he endowed all of us with a wonderful family and great memories. Thank you Pop Pop for everything.
Pop's off to watch the Phillies and the Flyers from the best seat there is.
