Edward J. Fitzpatrick, Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2012 at his residence in Cherry Hill, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, Edward was 105 years old. Edward was employed as a Linotype operator for The Evening Bulletin for 45 years, retiring in 1972. Edward spend his retirement years between Spray Beach and Cherry Hill. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Beloved husband of the late Kathryn (nee Meehan). Loving father of Mary T. Fitzpatrick, Catherine E. Gillespie, the late Edward J. Fitzpatrick, Jr. and the late Joan A. Fitzpatrick. Grandfather of 8, great grandfather of 14 and great great grandfather of 4. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Edward's Life Celebration and Gathering Friday 10-11 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Church 344 Kresson Road Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. His Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Hospice 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
