Just seeing this and we are in shock. Though we haven’t any personal relationship with Effie, she impacted our lives immensely. It was a saga starting in 1995, in the courthouse in Mount Holly, involving our infant’s welfare. Effie guided us through the process of court appointed supervision process, while staying true to her position of the law. Saying it was a saga, is no exaggeration…supervised visitation continued 16 years for the birth mother at the courthouse. Effie was the go-to person for much of the time, as there was many anxious moments and hurdles to make it as smooth as possible for our child. We never gave up, and in part, it was because of Effie. She was unflappable and a constant reminder that we were not alone on this journey as it played out. Now that infant is 28 years old and married and living life to the fullest. We’re so thankful for Effie and the supervised visitation. Had it not happened, I don’t think our child would be here today. Rest well Effie, you were a Faithful servant. 🙏🏻
