Elizabeth J. Hewish's Obituary
Elizabeth J. "Betty" Hewish (nee Brooks), of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2016. She was 90 years old.
Betty lived her life to the fullest. Her family was her life and the thing she was most proud of. She loved singing, and her trademark song was "Red Roses for a Blue Lady." Her family looked forward to her traditional birthday song every year. She will be dearly missed.
Betty was the daughter of the late Minnie and Charles Brooks. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Hewish, Sr. for 52 years before his passing in 1994. Loving mother of Bonnie Hartman (Ray), John Hewish (Louie), Linda Endres (Dave), Joyce Grasso (Ken), and the late Edward J. Hewish Jr. (Toni). Dear grandmother of 13 grandchildren and great grandmother of 21 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Charles Brooks.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Betty’s life celebration on Friday, March 18th, at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., from 9 - 10:30 am. Her prayer service will begin at 11 am at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 300 4th St., Riverton, NJ, followed by her burial at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s name may be made to American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
