Elizabeth Seagreaves Murray's Obituary
Elizabeth Seagreaves Murray, of Medford, NJ, passed away April 1st, 2022, at the age of 49, following a courageous battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC). She passed away at Samaritan Hospice Center at Voorhees surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was born in Woodbury, NJ to Patricia Seagreaves (nee Troller) and the late Thomas Seagreaves. She was the beloved wife to Conor Murray of 15 years and adoring mother to Garrett (13) and Graham Murray (7). She is survived by her mother, Patricia, grandmother, Helen Troller, siblings Christopher (Janeen), Patrick (Catherine), and Jessica (David) Floyd. Elizabeth was the cherished aunt to Thomas, Timothy, Madison, Andrew, Morgan, Nolan, Charles, and Penelope. Elizabeth was also the endeared daughter-in-law of Mary (the late Tom Murray) of Wexford, Ireland, brother-in-law Garrett (Elizabeth) and sister-in-law Aoife (Mick) Farrell, along with nieces and nephew Genevieve, Molly, and Tomas
Elizabeth graduated from Glassboro High School and later received her Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Rutgers College at Rutgers University. She later received Executive Education Certificates at the Wharton School of Business and the Rutgers University Center of Management Development. She was also a proud member of the American Management Association. Elizabeth was an Executive and Director in the Mortgage Industry for over 20 years, first with PHH Mortgage (formerly Cendant) and then with Freedom Mortgage. Most recently she served as the Senior Director of Marketing at SEBPO based in Marlton NJ.
Elizabeth was an avid reader, even rereading the classics numerous times. She was a lover of international travel, enjoying the music, art, and culture of each country she visited. She loved the outdoors, including walking, running, and biking. She was proud having completed the Philly Half Marathon and a few local sprint triathlons. Elizabeth was also a dedicated weekend fan of watching both of her boys play soccer and husband Conor coaching them. She was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Joan of Arc Parish. She was blessed to have met Pope Francis in October of 2019.
Elizabeth was a fierce warrior who courageously battled stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) during her last three years. She was an advocate, donor, and fundraiser for METAvivor, a volunteer-led, nonprofit organization that funds vital research to help improve the longevity and quality of life for those living with MBC.
Elizabeth, fondly known as Liz, Lizard, and Beth, was an angel on earth. She had an amazing smile, an infectious laugh (with the occasional snort), and the kindest soul. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, loved her and she genuinely loved them back. She loved so hard and had a special ability to see only the good in people. She donated her time, talents, and means to any and all organizations serving the greater good. She was truly the person we all strive to be.
Elizabeth’s biggest achievement in life was her amazing family, Conor, Garrett, and Graham, “her three guys” were the true loves of her life and her greatest legacy.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her father, Thomas H. Seagreaves of Glassboro, NJ, and Grandparents, Theresa and Walter Seagreaves, and Edward Troller, all of Allentown, PA.
A viewing for friends and family will be held on Monday evening, April 4th at Givnish Funeral Home in Marlton, located at 398 Main Street, from 6p.m. to 9p.m. Another viewing will be held on Tuesday morning, April 5th, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 12 p.m. held at St. Joan of Arc Church, 100 Willow Bend Rd in Marlton. Interment will be private.
