Foston Alexis Wehner's Obituary
Foston Alexis “Lexi” “Freddy” “Andy” Wehner
A happy and loving person, so full of life with so much energy. Foston Alexis Wehner was born on the beautiful island of Antigua on July 7, 1955 to the late John and Veronica Wehner. Alexis was born into the Seventh Day Adventist church and attended the Liberta Government School in Antigua. He was always stout in stature and as a young man, Alexis migrated to St. Croix to pursue better opportunities. While in St. Croix he became an Auto Body Mechanic. Years later he decided to explore new territories, so he migrated to New York. Upon arriving in NY, he continued his career as a Body Mechanic which fed his passion and love for cars. His collection of vehicles included hot pink Honda, Stylish Cadillac, Custom Built Van, Mercedes, Pathfinders and Electric car. His vehicles were a reflection of his personality, clean and well kept, always a welcome sight.
Alexis was not only a lover of cars, but he was also a fashion expert. He was a class act, his dressing impeccable, always a beauty to behold. He loved his sharp suits, matching felt hats and classy footwear. You could always call on him at the last minute to be your escort because wardrobe was never a problem. This extended all the way down to his final days.
Alexis wore several hats and one that many persons might not know about is his chef hat. The best Salmon Chef in America. When he prepared his delicacies, Salmon, Christmas Turkey, and many other dishes everyone clamored to share in the feast. He loved food but was not fussy about it at all. He could eat crackers and sardines, or crackers and tuna, or oatmeal with a big heap of raisins and be just as happy and contented as if he had a personal chef cater with a five-course meal. He cooked when he either just wanted to help out or if he thought his skills were in high demand.
It seemed as if faith was on his side when he met the love of his life in New York many years later. This lovely girl, Joy Greene was a hometown girl who he always loved. He pursued her and they fell in love and became a couple. Alexis Wehner and Joy Greene-Wehner loved and cared for each other for over 36 wonderful years until his death. The relationship was full, and the Lord blessed them with the children whom they loved and nurtured.
He fell in love all over again with the Jesus of his childhood. He had a personal relationship with Him and lived daily to serve the Him. His renewed experience with the Lord coupled with the love for his family were the driving force for which he lived. As First Elder of Burlington S.D.A. Church, Alexis preached the Word in and out of season. He passionately shared God’s word and encouraged others to come to know and serve Jesus. Alexis was a loving human being, kind, hardworking, friendly and caring.
Revelation 22:12 – And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
