Fr. J. Ryan's Obituary
Reverend Daniel J. Ryan passed away suddenly on December 24, 2012 at his residence in Willingboro, NJ. He was the Pastor of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Willingboro since May of 1999. Fr. Ryan maintained a fondness for his childhood neighborhood of Parkchester in the Bronx, NY where he was born December 14th, 1951. After his graduation from St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, MD he was ordained to the priesthood on May 20, 1989. Fr. Ryan was devoted to his parishioners at Corpus Christi and relished the time he spent with them. He loved a joke and a song and enthralled his loved ones with countless entertaining stories.
Son of the late John F. and Mercedes Ryan, Fr. Ryan is survived by his four siblings, John C. Ryan (Elaine), Grosse Point, MI, Br. Patrick Ryan OCSO, Our Lady of Genesee Abbey, Piffard, NY, Julie Cremeans (Charlie) Pearl River, NY, and James T. Ryan (Libby) Brooklyn, NY. Additionally he is survived by his cherished nieces and nephews, Mercedes Cremeans Deuth (Brian), C.J. Cremeans, Katherine Cremeans, Maureen Ryan Nemeth (John), John R. Ryan, Patrick Ryan, Michael Ryan and Joseph Ryan and grand nephews, Aidan Nemeth and Finn Nemeth. Relatives, religious, and friends are invited to attend Fr. Ryan's Rite of Reception of the Body on Friday, December 28th, at 4 p.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ 08046, followed by viewing and visitation. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29th, at 10:30 a.m. by Bishop David O'Connell. Rite of Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Marne Highway, Hainesport, NJ.
