Donna Maguire
Hi Mom,
You passed away this morning. Even though my heart is broken, I am relieved that you are finally pain free.
You are my hero. The strongest woman I have ever met. You were a great Mom, Grandmom and Great Grandmom. You leave behind a family full of love. We may not always like what each other do, but we are absolutely, without a doubt, there for each other.
Elaine, Dianne, Marie, Tom and Shannon were exceptional caretakers for you during your last months on this earth. It was hard to see you in pain and bedridden at the end so your passing, as hard as it was to let you go, was truly a blessing. You were so full of life, never turning down an adventure. Your green thumb and ability to decorate your home were amazing. You made it so easy to pick out a gift that you would like because you had so many things that you liked to do. I think towards the end of your time in Lansdale, your favorite thing to do, and ours to help you with, was putting together puzzles.
We each took a day during the week when you moved into the Lansdale area to make sure you and Daddy had everything you needed. Some would see that as a burden, but we realized that we all had a chance to spend some time with you and Daddy every week.
I am so glad you were able to take your boat trips and had a chance to live on the water, which was always your dream, and now I am sure that you are up in heaven dancing with the love of your life, which was another dream.
We attended your funeral yesterday. The Church looked amazing, and I am sure you loved it when you saw it. Cookie did a great job with her tribute to you. We were all there to celebrate your life and to mourn your passing.
As Dianne put it when you were leaving the house at the end, GOOD-BYE MOMMY!!! We love you!! May you rest in peace!!!
Love,
Donna
