We lost another great neighbor when Jim passed away. It was great growing up next door to the Loftus family. I will always cherish those childhood memories. Even though we live so far apart, your are in my thoughts and prayers.
Jim was a good friend and neighbor as was his entire family. All were and are good people. I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Val and I are praying for all of you that The Lord comfort you all at this very sad time.
Jim, John Lee and I all worked together at Rolm and later as contractors for Campbell's Soup Company on the Voice Help Desk. Jim was one of the funniest guys I have ever met. A real curmudgeon.
John Lee reminded me of one of the funniest Jim-ism's:
One day Jim came into the help desk area and we were discussing Catholic Pope's. Jim explained how technically he could be Pope because he went to Catholic school and received all his sacraments.
Through my side splitting laughter I asked. "Jim how could you be Pope? What name would you use? Jim answered "Pope Jimmy Uno!" He proceeded to tell us that he would carry his Pope staff around and give Papal blessings and to those who annoyed him, he would whack them on the head with the staff!!!!!
I have never laughed so hard since those days. Jim, I sure hope you are talking to some of the Pope's there in Heaven that went before you!!
Just remembering this has me laughing so hard - You were a great guy!!

I've known and worked with Jim since 1979. It was during our time working together at Campbell Soup that we became friends. Jim could be funny without even trying. I remember one time he told me and another coworker, Linda Muggli, about one of the Nun's from his youth who had a wicked left hook, he called her Left Louie. Another time he explained to us that technically he could be the Pope. I asked him if he were the Pope what name would he choose, he told us Pope Jimmy Uno. He would carry a staff and would bless people who annoyed him with a whack to the head. We were crying with laughter. Jim and I would text each other during Eagle games with our frustrations on how they were playing. As the new season starts soon it just won't be the same watching them. RIP my friend, I will miss you.
To Jim's family, I'm so very sorry for your loss,Jim was such a nice man, I'm also a contractor at Campbell's and Jim used To help me out with my phone ,even though I don't have an I phone, he said he would look it up, and then helped me with the problem, I used to talk to him everyday, he is missed
