Janis M. Kerrigan's Obituary
Janis M. Kerrigan, Ph.D. passed away peacefully at her residence in Delran on May 26, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, Janis was 67 years old. She was a proud resident of Philadelphia for many years, moving to Delran in 1960. Janis traveled throughout Europe performing her investigative research in completing her thesis, earning her Doctorate degree from Drew University.
She had a distinguished career in radio as a Director of Special Events for WIBG radio. While pursuing her dream of advanced studies, Janis toured Europe in here quest to complete her thesis work and publishing many related papers on the finding of her research, earning her Ph.D. In the years that following Janis enjoyed a career with the Burlington County Times.
Janis was a loving daughter of John W. and the late Marion E. Kerrigan, a sister of Jack G. Kerrigan and his wife Carolyn S., Aunt to Kelly M. Berry (David Jr.) and Shannon F. Kerrigan, Great Aunt to David Berry III, Ashleigh Berry, and Hunter Kerrigan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Janis' Life Celebration and viewing Friday 10-11 a.m. at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. Her Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. Internment Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burlington County Animal Shelter, Woodlane Road, Westampton, NJ 08060.
