I am so sorry to hear about Jeans passing. She touched so many lives, her mom, her brother, her husband, her boys, her grandson, her lifelong group of girlfriends, her co-workers, and all of the Yost-Smith family. When remembering Jean so many words come to mind…caring, strong, sweet, loyal and supportive are just a few but I’m sure there are many more!
I knew Jean from our neighborhood, Harrowgate. Her brother Michael (fatty) is my brother Kevin’s best friend and my sister in law, Maria (midge) was part of Jeans circle of close girlfriends. Even my nephew Kevin, is best friends with Jean’s son Kyle. So while there are many connections between my family and Jeans, I had the pleasure of knowing Jean mostly through her mom, Marge, my friend.
Jean was always there for her mom. She cared for her mom. Marge lived with Jean so you can only imagine how close they were. They vacationed together, shared meals, Jean took Marge to the doctors, they shopped together and Jean always included her mom even when spending time with her girlfriends. Marge was part of Jeans circle of friends.
Marge’s greatest gift was her daughter, which makes Jeans passing so hard. There just aren’t any words I can come up with to help Marge or Jeans family. My heart breaks for Marge because no parent should ever have to experience the pain of losing a child, no matter how old. So all I can do is pray that the entire Yost-Smith family find the strength to get through this difficult time. Remember that all of you are surrounded by so many people that love you. Hugs!
