Joe lived a full life and accomplished many things, including his service to his country during the Vietnam War and his service to his Church throughout his adult life. But perhaps his most outstanding trait was the kindness and respect he showed to everyone he met. His vast network of friends spans the decades, from grade school to his beloved fraternity brothers, from his careers at Penn Mutual and the Veterans Administration to those he met through his charitable works in the church. The eldest son in a large Irish Catholic family, he was devoted to his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and especially to his 95-year-old Mother. There was no sacrifice he wouldn’t make for his wife and three children; he was a source of pride and a role model of the highest caliber. Joe was an avid Notre Dame football fan, suffered with the Philadelphia sports teams, and always appreciated a good pun.
Friends and relatives are invited to Joseph’s Life Celebration on Friday, January 16th from 5:00pm to 9pm at Resurrection Parish, Church of the Holy Name, 260 Conrow Ave, Delran and again on Saturday, January 17th from 9:00am to 11:00am. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Resurrection Parish.
