Joseph James McGrane Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph James McGrane, Jr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2015, at his residence in Palmyra, NJ, surrounded by his family. Born in Philadelphia, Joe just celebrated his 70th birthday. He was a resident of Palmyra for 50 years. Joe was the owner of Paws to Heaven Pet Crematory in Pennsauken. Joe was also employed for 52 years as a lab technician in the Department of Pathobiology at the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Beloved husband of 52 years to Joyce (nee Bradshaw). Loving father of Lisa McGrane and Joseph James "Jim" (Theresa) McGrane. Grandfather of Melissa (James) Carber and great grandfather of McKenna Rose. Brother of Marie Myers, Dorrie McGrane, the late Cassie Horvay and the late Patty Dales. Cousin of Sr. Rita Michael, SSJ and Sr. Miriam D. Scully, IHM. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe's viewing and life celebration Friday evening 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 9-10 a.m. at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North.
His Mass will follow 10:30 a.m. Sacred Heart Church, 4th St. and Linden Ave. Riverton, NJ 08077. Entombment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park.
The family extends their warmest regards and appreciation to the Moorestown Visiting Nurses and the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine at the U of P Hospital.
