Joseph Charles Moran Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph Moran Jr., March 27, 1949 (son of the late Joseph and Helen Moran) passed away early Friday morning, August 14, 2020. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Carol (nee DeFrancesco). Joe is a beloved father to Jennifer (Henry) & Monica (Daniel), and a devoted grandfather to Vienna & Ava, who refer to him as Pups. Joe is survived by his three brothers, Patrick, Michael, and Paul, and one sister, Regina. Joe also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, and friends that became family.
Joe was retired from PGW and drove a school bus for Delran Township thereafter because of his love of children. Joe never shied away from helping someone in need and became the neighborhood's go to guy. Joe had a love for history, cars, music, and sports. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a donor for the American Red Cross. Joe will be remembered for his positive nature & strength that warmed the room. There are no words to express what an amazing man Joe was or how much he will be missed; however, we know he fought a long, difficult battle. Heaven is lucky to have its newest member. We know you're not only walking again, but dancing with the angels.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe’s visitation on Wednesday, August 19th, from 10 am to 12 pm. Social distancing, crowd restrictions, and masks are required. We ask that guests pay their respects and promptly leave the building to allow other guests to do the same. His funeral service will begin at 12 pm and will be live streamed from Joe’s tribute page on the funeral home website. Burial to follow in Magnolia Cemetery, 4500 Levick Street in Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Joe to St. Jude's Cancer Foundation, www.stjude.org.
