Joseph J. Sheekey's Obituary
Joseph J. Sheekey, of Maple Shade, passed away suddenly on November 3, 2015. He was 34 years old. Joe was the beloved son of Joseph and Patricia Sheekey. Loving brother of Sharon Sheekey (Darren Forry), Chrissy Sheekey (Joe Napolitan), and Kevin Sheekey. Adoring Uncle to Jason and Elly. Dear nephew and cousin to many.
He graduated from Maple Shade High School, and then graduated from Pennco Tech in 2002. He also received his Contractor License from Rowan University. He had a creativity that was shown in his artwork and craftsmanship. Joe displayed an attention to detail in all of his work. He was self-taught on the guitar and synthesizer. He had a great smile and a tremendous sense of humor. He touched thousands of lives, loved his family and friends, and literally would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe’s life celebration gathering on Monday evening at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main St., from 7 pm - 9 pm, and on Tuesday morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade, from 10 am – 10:50 am. His Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s name may be made to The Children’s Home of Burlington County.
