She was a bright, driven young woman who showed determination and humanity in the face of more than her share of adversity. I wish she'd had an an easier path but I am proud to have been able to call her "my friend". She will be missed. Got to be close to this bubbly light, when she stayed briefly with me at Abuja, when she came for her first student Visa; Also connected with Lati again at New York, when we visited his uncle Akwa Ebong that she stayed with; I remember nothing but fun, laughter and more laughter.
Lati, it pleased the Lord to close your physical chapter, but your memory which did not leave me whilst you were still alive, will continue to be with us. You sure made your mama and all of us proud by all your earthly academic achievements; most importantly the fact that you declared your camp with the Lord Jesus, a decision that only the Lord enabled, so that your eternity will be secured.
