I am so sorry. I have so many fond memories with all our great times together, and there were many.
We traveled all over the world, and always had great times. It is unbelievable just how many trips we took together (shopping in Shannon Airport like crazy) on our way home. On one occasion, on an Island, we just checked out and were going to have lunch before our flight home. Lorraine just remembered she left her jewelry under the mattress. We went to the office and asked if they would check the room. The new guest had to leave and they undid the bed and looked under the mattress - "No Jewelry". Sometime much later, Lorraine called me and said "I was getting my grandson's Halloween costume from the closet and found my jewelry in a bag!".
The times we would go to New York for the "Escape Weekends" at the Essex Hotel. We would check in on a Saturday, see a play, have dinner and brunch on Sunday, and mass at St Patrick's Cathedral.
We would celebrate all the January birthdays. I would bring Italian Pastries.
On one occasion Dick said he would get the tickets for a play. Mary Tyler Moore was in it. When we got there no record of his order to leave the tickets at the box office. He was MAD. It was sold out so we went across the street to see Oh! Calcutta!. It had been the longest playing play on Broadway. We went in - it was "All Nude". Lorraine kept saying 'oh no', if my daughter ever knew. No, No..I don't want a program.
What great times we all had together Dick, Lorraine, Joe, Marge, John (Jack), and me. I will never forget them!
P.S. Going to her Daughters Weddings; Cruises
Love,
