Dear Carolynn and your family, this was a beautiful tribute to your wonderful son, Luke, and I know how much he was truly loved and cherished
by all of you. Our hearts are broken for you and we hope you know how much we care, and will remember you and Marty and Luke every day in our prayers and in our hearts. We have made a donation, as you requested, to the A.J. Butz Foundation, in the hopes of helping others who are dealing with this terrible addiction. Luke was very lucky to have such loving parents in recovery, and I know you tried everything you could to help him. This is such a devastating disease, and such a tragic loss for you. We love you, and will always remember Luke.

I spent a lot of time with my dear friends, Luke and Carolynn and Marty some years ago. I needed help and they were my angels. It was a brief time in retrospect but I will always remember those times like they happened yesterday. Luke was a funny, beautiful rascal then and he grew into a good man who made his dad and his mom proud. Carolynn, my heart is broken for your little moose sprouted wings and left this earth way too soon it seems. I love you, dear friend, and my thoughts are with you and Marty and Luke constantly.
