Luke was employed as a safety professional in the family business.
To know LUKE was to know LOVE. To Carolynn and Marty he was a long awaited gift of life and to give him back is a test of faith.
Luke loved with his whole heart. He was charismatic, genuine, handsome, funny, smart, athletic, and compassionate. We certainly would be remiss if we didn’t mention he was a man who was “stylin.” These are only some of the things we will remember of this incredible young man. The love he gave in abundance, always and unconditionally, will be woven in our hearts forever, despite our hearts being broken. His hugs were strong and fierce letting you know he cared for you, and for all of us, he truly touched our souls.
AND THAT SMILE…”But, my God it’s so beautiful when the boy smiles…”
Luke always knew his family was woven in a tapestry of traditions, love, and faith, whose threads were so strong that not even death could pull us apart. We know that Luke’s bond and spirit within this Irish-Polish-Jewish-Italian-Catholic (Marty’s favorite line) heritage will simply live on forever. From Luke’s closest friends to those that only briefly crossed his path, everyone will always remember he held out his hand offering support, never judging, and settling uneasy hearts with an outlook that made you smile and laugh, no matter the hardship faced.
To all of us he will be remembered as the young man, the myth, and the legend. Not for boastful reasons but because of his humble and deeper understanding of what surrounded him. He was immersed in faith, whose kindness, generosity and overwhelming love of family and friends was no myth, it will be his legacy.
So, in celebrating Luke through the sadness and tears, always remember the strength of his hugs, the softness of his heart and the abundance of love he had for all of us. And never forget his infectious SMILE.
