Dear Painter daughters,
Please accept my deepest sympathies in the passing of your dear mother. All throughout high school and college I saw your parents almost monthly for dinner group. Your mom was the epitome of a fine lady. She dressed beautifully and spoke calm and soft. I would really be surprised if she ever yelled. Your father and her made a lovely happy couple. They were the kind of couple that you would love to be around. Family was most important to them and they spoke with pride about all four girls. My parents really enjoyed many fine years with your folks. I will always treasure that because your parents' friends really are very much your friends as well. It was an honor to have Peg and Jack at my wedding.
Losing a parent is heartbreaking. I don't look forward to it in my future. It means a lot to tell you about how fabulous your mom is to so many people. God bless you all. I wish I could have been there to pay my respects in person, but we committed to attend a family retreat for homeless families in Elizabeth, Nj. Love to all.
