My grandmother (Wella) was funny, I loved her voice and the sound of her laugh, she would say some off the wall things that would crack you up and she had some great stories. She loved very hard and took care of her family. She was tough, don’t mess with her or her circle kind of tough because she did not play . When I was younger, her home was the place to be every Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Family would come together, laughter, gossip and kids screaming filled the air along with her food; she was THE best cook. The years go by, but the love I feel for her is and will forever be in my heart.
My mother was a feisty women. Mother had a funny side, she would try to bite me with no teeth, punching me and pinch me, she would do things or say things then wink, sometimes I though to myself is it really dementia/Alzheimer’s.
I started a game telling her anything she wanted was free for her like shopping for what she wanted or going out to eat, mom would say get what ever you want they don’t charge me LOL.
She was know in all the shopping centers and restaurants we visited due to her hair style of two buns with clips and her jewelry . .Mother loved that attention. Great memories I will share forever, Tata. (Margaret Vera Bailey)
