My greatest memory with Manmi Ta is going to Bolosse Baptist Church as a teenager and stopping by her home to pick up Germaine . Her house was separated from the church by a mere wall.
She was among the first few Haitians who started braiding hair with extensions for free. I'd sometimes see her braiding Germaine's hair, crocheting with passion, giving directions to the maids or warmly caring for her grandchildren from the US mainly Gerline and Annie.
While doing all of the aforementioned tasks, she managed a boarding house with Christian values. I even remember partaking in one of her Friday devotion. She will be missed!
