Mary Cooney's Obituary
Mary Cooney (nee Goodman), of Marlton, passed away peacefully at her home on April 7, 2018. Born in Shenandoah, PA, she was 67 years old.
Mary was a nurse for 44 years, last working as nurse manager of occupational health for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She was a loving mother, devoted wife, avid sailor and loved spending time on the lakes and mountains of the Adirondacks.
Mary was the beloved wife of Thomas Cooney for 47 years. Loving mother of Geoff (Sara) and Sean. Adoring Grandma to Liam, Alana, and Vivian. Dear daughter of Joseph and Eleanor Goodman. Loving sister of Betty Ann Vasil (Rich), Margie Marranca (Frank), Joe Goodman (Mary Ellen), Terry Williams (David), Mark Goodman (Cyndi), and Christine Edzek. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary’s life celebration gathering at Givnish of Marlton, 398 E. Main St., on Thursday evening from 7 pm – 9 pm, and Friday morning from 10 am – 11 am. A prayer service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.PanCan.org.
