Michael Dennis Morton Sr.'s Obituary
Michael Dennis Morton, Sr., of Delran, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Stroudsburg, PA. Born in Camden, NJ, he was 68 years old.
Michael graduated from the Burlington County Police Academy and joined the Edgewater Park Police Department on November 8, 1976. He went on to retire as Lieutenant on December 3, 2002 after 26 years of service. Michael also served as the Beverly City Police Public Safety Director. He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge #2, a member of the Beverly Rotary Club, and he owned his own electrician business. Michael also ran security at Cramps Liquors in Edgewater Park.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Jaime (Joyce) Morton. He was the cherished father of Michael Jr. (Arielle), Edward, Mackenzie, and Hunter; stepfather of Christine Landell; adoring grandfather of Dominick; beloved son of the late Edward and Constance (Duffy) Morton; dear stepson of Louise Morton; loving brother of Edward Morton, Jr., Beth Bulzak (Dave), and Barbara Hall; brother-in-law of William Joyce (Tammy), Michael Joyce (Rhonda), and Daniel Joyce (Anne); son-in-law of Eileen Fee (the late William Joyce, Sr.). Michael is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss him tremendously.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Sunday January 9th from 1 pm to 4 pm, and Monday January 10th from 10 am to 11 am. His memorial service will begin at 11 am.
