Nanci Rainey
Sean, Maureen and Kevin, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Please know my prayers are with you at this time. Accept my apologies for not attending his service, but I just learned of your loss. I missed your dad when he sold the house and moved. I enjoyed our many conversations. He was a great neighbor! You all were great neighbors. So much time has passed and we seem to loose touch of those dear to us, as lifestyles change.
Grief can consume us (from my own experience), don't suppress your emotions. Everyone grieves in different ways and at different stages. I hope you can find some peace knowing your dad lived a full life. He survived his cancer with a positive attitude and prayers. His faith was very important to him. He lived a life of integrity and Christian morals. There is no doubt your dad is in Heaven. He will continue to be with you, in your hearts. Embrace your memories and every little sign of his presence.
Please accept my condolences and I hope you can find comfort knowing your dad is still watching over you. There is no easy way around grief, but try to hold onto your faith and somehow, someway, you manage to cope as you continue on your journey through grief.
Prayers and love
God Bless you,
Nanci R.
