Paul Champion Taggart's Obituary
Paul Champion Taggart passed away peacefully on June 3, 2015. Paul was 91 years old. He was survived by his loving sister, Elizabeth Nowakowski (Al), loving son Kevin P. Taggart (Stephanie), loving daughter Maureen Lukasiak (Luke), and son Sean Taggart (Phyllis), grandchildren Max, Logan, Noah, Michael, Daniel, Nicky, Joey, and Mia, plus many nieces and nephews.
Paul graduated from Moorestown High School and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Mary’s University and a Master’s Degree from Villanova University. He began his career as a high school teacher in Barnegat, NJ, and then went on to teach at Rumson High School, in North Jersey. He later become a top sales person, selling books to Catholic schools throughout the region for William H. Sadlier, Inc., from where he retired after many years of service.
Paul took great pride in the town he grew up in, Maple Shade, NJ, and was happiest being surrounded by his friends and family. Paul’s favorite place to go on vacation was Wildwood, NJ, where he spent many summers from the time he was a young man.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Paul’s Life Celebration gathering on Tuesday, June 9, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., at 10:30 am. His Memorial Mass will begin at 11 am. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s name may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
