Peter S McDougall's Obituary
Peter S. McDougall, 76, of Moorestown, NJ passed away suddenly on January 19, 2017. Son of the late Archie and Margaret Wright McDougall of Kearny, NJ, he is survived by sons Scott and Greg McDougall; granddaughter Laura McDougall; brother Alan (Joan) McDougall, sister Janet McDougall, former wife Nancy McDougall, nieces Anne Burgess (Allen), Susan Balcerski, Beth Caputo (Anthony), Laura McGuire (James) and nephews Steven McDougall (Wendy), John McDougall (Andrea), and Arthur Collier (Christine).
Peter, a prominent local attorney for the past 37 years, was a graduate of Yale (1962), received an MBA from Wharton School of Business (1964), and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law (1980). Peter also formerly worked as a program researcher for the state of NJ and was a former faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania.
Peter had a real love of music, sang, and played his banjo with a passion. An avid reader with an endless thirst for knowledge and an absolutely brilliant mind, He loved to entertain and debate with his sharp sense of humor and extremely quick wit. He also enjoyed golfing, playing poker, and watching sports with his many wonderful friends.
Friends and relatives are invited to Peter’s Life Celebration services on Tuesday, January 24th from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a service beginning at 12:00pm at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main Street.
