I am so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was a true gentleman. I had the privilege of working with him in the fire department. He always had a pleasant demeanor and just a great person to be around. May he rest in peace.

I have found it difficult to lose family members even though they have enjoyed a productive life. The loss of my youngest brother is just as difficult but I know he is out of pain. He truly was one-of-a-kind. As a product of the 'Greatest' generation, Dick believed in giving back to the community as evidenced by his service to our country in the Air Force and to his communities in the volunteer fire service. Dick shared a legacy of six uncles who served in World War ll. He good naturedly participated in ribbing by his two Marine brothers. He always had a smile for everyone. He also had an eye for pretty ladies since high school and they expressed that they enjoyed dancing with him. He frequently talked about how much he cared for his adult children Kelli and Tim and special people Dolly and Mary Jo. I will miss him as I know many others will. I have heard it said that: '... someone is not truly gone until the last person who remembers them is gone...'. I will remember him for as long as I am able. I hope that the technique works for his family and friends and lessens their grief.
