Richard C. A. Donovan's Obituary
Richard Charles Arthur Donovan, of Maple Shade and formerly of Delran, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2019. Born in Darby, PA, he was 79 years old.
Dick graduated from Haverford High School before joining the U.S. Air Force in 1957. After he was discharged, he went on to work as a Computer Programmer for Rohm and Haas. During that time he was a volunteer for the Burlington Fire Company and then a volunteer chief for the Delran Fire Co. Dick was a Nascar enthusiast, and also was very involved with the Boy Scouts.
Dick leaves behind his love, his life companion and best friend of 21 years, Dolly Madison; Dolly’s daughter Mary Jo Dwyer, her husband Chris and their children Morgan and Shannon; his brothers Robert Frank Harry Donovan and Thomas Edward Sidney Donovan (his wife Barbara); his children Kelli Donovan and Timothy Donovan (his wife Stacy); his 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main St., on Wednesday May 1st from 9 am – 10:30 am. His funeral Mass will begin at 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 2398 West Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill.
