Richard Joseph Ritting Jr.'s Obituary
Richard Joseph Ritting, Jr., the #1 fan to his two beloved grandchildren and the OG #girldad, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2021. Rich was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Richard Ritting and Mary Traeger (Corbin), he was 74 years young. Rich was a long time resident of Palmyra and lived in Delanco with his life partner and sweetheart Elizabeth (Liz) Taylor.
Rich, and the late Carol Ritting (Brubaker), were the proud and loving parents of Nikol L. Ritting (Matt Celona) and Tara A. Hinshillwood (John); cherished grandfather of Leo Baker and Mazey Mae Hinshillwood; loving brother of David Ritting (Sharon), Susan Moore (Bill), Dawn Kovalevich (David), and the late Debbie McLaverty (late Jay); dear step-brother of Renee Gohn, Debbie Lynn Pagliaro, and the late Helene Nawrocki.
Anyone who knew Rich was aware of his love, loyalty, and passion for all sports and made many memories as an Eagles season ticket holder since 1954. Young Richie held the triple jump PA state record for many years out of Abington High School.
As the oldest brother and cousin of many, Rich is survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, beloved co-workers, and cherished friends who will miss him tremendously.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his well lived life at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., on Wednesday evening, December 29th from 6 – 9 pm, and Thursday morning, December 30th, from 9:30 – 11 am. A service will begin at 11 am followed by interment in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
