Mike Ford
I am privileged and honored to have known Rick and Carole for almost 50 years. Rick and Carole and my family met in Corpus Christi, Texas in the late ‘70s when he was at the Naval Air Station and enlisted U.S. Navy Sailors could still wear beards. I can’t be certain but I think I met Rick and Carole before they met each other. Over the years Rick provided a kind ear through the passing of my Father, Mother, and Brother as that was the type of man and friend he was. We shared many laughs about their memories and exploits, including some of our own. A few years back Rick and Carole traveled to Texas to see family and traveled several hours out of their way to come see me in the Texas Hill Country. I am blessed to have been able to be a small part of his life and to be his friend. I believe he found Happy Destiny as he trudged the road as Rick S. for the majority of his life.
