Robert C. Cox's Obituary
Robert C. Cox, of Mount Laurel, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the age of 74.
Born on April 23, 1952, in Trenton, NJ, Robert was the beloved son of the late Charles Cox and the late Alberta Cox (nee Snedeker).
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. A Marine through and through, he never missed an opportunity to respond with a heartfelt "Oorah!" whenever the Corps was mentioned. The values of honor, dedication, and perseverance remained with him throughout his life.
He was married to his high school sweetheart, the late Shelley P. Cox (nee Lambert), and together they shared 50 years of marriage while raising their family. Robert was the devoted father of Steven Cox, Robert Cox (Erica), the late David Cox, and Michelle Kuszmaul (Edward). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Trevor, Everette, Dakota, Olivia, Dillon, Grace, Isabella, and Ashley, all of whom brought him immense joy.
In later years, Robert found love again with his wife, Carol Williams. Together they shared six happy years of marriage. He also embraced Carol's children as his own: Philip (Marina), Don (Shannon), Stephen (Crysta), and Colleen Rydz (Kevin).
Robert is also survived by his sister, Bets Crist (Charlie). He was predeceased by his brother, Benjamin Cox, who is survived by his wife, Marianne.
A cherished lifelong friendship with Michael Rooney (Sandy) was one of the many blessings of Robert's life.
Above all else, Robert was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to providing for his family. He led by example, demonstrating the importance of commitment, resilience, and putting those he loved first. His unwavering work ethic, devotion to his family, and Marine pride will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Robert's legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the many lives he touched. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
