Robert Francis "Bob" O'Brien's Obituary
Robert F. “Bob” O’Brien, a lawyer who spent decades advocating for labor unions, passed away on September 9, 2023 at his home in Cherry Hill, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Francis and Marie O’Brien. He was also proceeded in death by his sister Marie O’Brien. He was 81 years old.
An ardent supporter of worker’s rights, Bob represented multiple international and local unions for over 50 years and argued before the U.S. Supreme court.
Bob was the beloved husband of the late Catherine Mary O’Brien (nee Stadler); proud father of Jennifer M. O’Brien and Daniel F. O’Brien (Tiffany); and cherished “Senaire” to his grandchildren, Gavin and Colin. He also leaves behind his former wife and mother of his two children, Linda O’Brien of Naples, FL. Bob is also survived by many friends and colleagues who will miss him dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Christ Our Light Church, 402 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, NJ, on Friday September 29th from 10 am to 11 am. Mass will begin at 11 am. Inurnment will be private.
