Rosina Stirner "Rose"'s Obituary
Rose Stirner, age 94, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024. Born on July 30, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA, to Frank and Theresa Paparo, Rose was the devoted wife of the late Fritz Stirner for over 64 wonderful years until his passing in 2021. She was a loving mother to Robert “Bob” Stirner (Deb) and the late Kathy Rehorst, and a cherished grandmother to Alana Richards Anderson (Chad), Jasmine Gardner (Phil), Rebecca Stirner, Sam Richards, Cameron Stirner, and Jack Stirner. She was also a proud great-grandmother of six. As the last surviving sibling in her family, Rose will be deeply missed by her extended family, friends, and neighbors.
Raised in Philadelphia, Rose attended Combs College, where she pursued her love for music and earned a bachelor's degree. Her passion for teaching led her to Wood School, where she met her beloved husband, Fritz. During the early 1980s, she taught at Westfield Friends School before continuing her career at Riverside Elementary School, where she taught first grade, special education, and music for many years. Rose and Fritz moved to Cinnaminson in 1959, where they lovingly raised their son and daughter. Rose’s love for music was a defining part of her life; she was an accomplished pianist who found joy in sharing her gift with others. The couple also treasured time spent at their Poconos home with family. Above all, Rose will be remembered for her unwavering love and support for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Rose’s life on Friday, October 4th at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 4:00 PM to 5:30PM, followed by her memorial service at 5:30 PM.
