Ruth H. Henson's Obituary
Ruth H. Henson (nee Henry) passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024 at her home in Cinnaminson with her family by her side. Born in Camden to William and Effie Henry, Ruth led a long and full life to the age of 99. A life-long resident of this area, she grew up in Riverton and graduated from Palmyra High School. Ruth resided in Cinnaminson since 1970 and formerly lived in Palmyra.
Wife of the late William “Tex” Henson, she was the loving mother of Marilyn (Anthony) Bilotti and the late Douglas (Bernadette) Henson. Also surviving are Ruth’s nieces, Christine Vesaki and Sandra Loch; great niece Carrie Gallagher; and great nephews Justin and Daniel Loch.
Ruth was a faithful member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Palmyra, where she lent her time and talents to Mary’s Closet and the Prayer Shawl Ministry.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Givnish Funeral Home, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson. Ruth’s Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in Lakeview Memorial Park.
Ruth will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her last year was greatly enriched by her loving caregiver, Chekeya Brown.
