Scott Mitchel Portner's Obituary
Scott Mitchel Portner passed away peacefully of cancer on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees with his wife and children by his side. Scott was 57 years old. Born in Philadelphia, he grew up in Cherry Hill and raised his family living in Medford.
Scott received his BA from Rider University and was employed as a Territory Manager for Global Industries in Marlton.
Scott had a life-long passion for sports which included High School Wrestling and Baseball and a true devotion to golf.
He was a member of Medford Village Country Club.
Scott is survived by his wife, Laurie Ellen (nee Hess), of 29 happy years .
Loving father to Paige Adrianne Portner, Anne Rose Portner and Samuel Ellis Portner.
Brother of Andrea Portner and Keith D. Portner.
Survived by numerous cousins, family members and dear friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
at Givnish of Marlton 398 East Main Street.
The family will be sharing stories and eulogies at his Memorial Service which will begin at 2 p.m.
Following the Memorial Service, a reception will take place at the Medford Village Country Club 28 Golfview Drive Medford, NJ 08053.
