Stephen T. Pisarek's Obituary
Stephen T. Pisarek passed away unexpectedly at his summer residence in Wildwood with his family by his side. Born in Philadelphia to Stephen J. and Stella Pisarek, Steve was 75 years old. He was a resident of Cinnaminson and formerly of the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, where he was born, raised, and resided for over 70 years. Beloved husband of 51 years to Helen I. (nee Muzychka), who was his best friend for all of that time. Loving father of Sarah Pisarek and Leah (Jason) Straub. Cherished grandfather of Ella, Jason, and Charlotte. Brother of Thomas (Gail) Pisarek and Carolyn (the late T.D.) Passmore. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, many of whom often referred to him as “Uncle Fun.”
A graduate of Northeast Catholic High School, Steve was the owner of Pisarek General Contracting in Philadelphia and built and repaired homes for over 50 years. Steve was an avid Philly sports fan, especially baseball, and he played on many softball teams in the area, including: Mick’s Inn, Franklin AC, and Speed Boys.
He enjoyed his summer house in Wildwood and especially spending time with his family and friends, as Steve could make friends with everyone and enjoyed laughing and having drinks with not only those close to him, but also the new friends he would make wherever he went. His grandchildren were a massive joy and source of pride in his life, and he would light up whenever talking about them, which he did often.
A gathering of family and friends are will be held Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North.
Steve’s funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
