Theodore "Ted" C. Deal's Obituary
Theodore (Ted) C Deal, 85 of Southampton, New Jersey passed away on January 8, 2023 Ted was formerly married to the late Eileen Deal (Fitzpatrick) and also leaves behind their shared children and grandchildren: David Deal, Chris Deal and Marianne Ellsworth (Chuck) and their children: CJ, Sean, and Joshua and the late Theodore “Teddy” Deal. Ted went on to marry and spend the next 30 years as a devoted husband and father with Marlene Deal (Burns) and their children Maryann Deblanco (Ted) and grandson Nicholas as well as the late Thomas “Tommy“ McCusker. Ted was also a brother to Richard Deal (Kathy), Carolyn Gimble and Peggy Shivers as well as nieces and nephews.
Ted proudly served our Country in the US Army with two tours of duty and then worked as a transportation manager for the Philadelphia Inquirer for 47 years before retiring. Even though Ted was retired he never missed a days work and went on to secure positions with organizations such as Project H.O.P.E. in Camden New Jersey.
Ted loved a great card game, a good party with lots of music, Philadelphia Sports and truly enjoyed his life and family.
Those that were blessed to know him would describe him as a genuine, caring person and a friend to all. He will be greatly missed by many.
A gathering of friends of family will be held at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Friday, January 13th at 10:00am, with his memorial service to follow at 11:00am. Luncheon to follow.
