Walt and Joyce were very good friends and neighbors as we shared sides of a duplex at North Topsail Beach. NC for many years. Walt was the consummate gentleman and always friendly and willing to help. We watched as he doted on his grandchildren when they visited and saw them as they grew. He will be missed by all. God speed Walt our good and faithful friend. Rest on peace.

One of my favorite memories of Pa was the summers growing up down in North Topsail Beach, North Carolina. Every morning Pa would wake up extra early before every one woke up and walk down to the corner store to get the newspaper. I would always try to wake up as early as possible so that I could go with him and spend some quality time with him.. Another favorite memory of mine was going for bike rides around the block in Palmyra with him :) I could go on and on because I have 25 years of memories with him but those are just two of my favorites!
I think heaven got another angel on Saturday. Prayers to the family.
